The second graphic is a bar chart of new infections broken down by race /ethnicity among young MSM. The fourth and fifth graphics show that many young MSM are unaware of their HIV infection. The fourth graphic shows that, in a 20-city study, 51% of young MSM aged 18-24 were unaware of their infection. The fifth graphic shows that, in a 5-city study, 1 in 4 young MSM (or 27%) aged 18-22 had not been tested in the last year as CDC recommends.

The fifth graphic shows that a combination of factors place young MSM at increased risk for HIV. Some of those factors are homophobia, underestimated personal risk, stigma, complacency, higher HIV prevalence, racism, depression, substance use, insufficient screening and homelessness.

The sixth infographic reminds readers that everyone can take a stand against HIV by getting tested, talking about HIV and protecting yourself.
